[Reminder] Bullies, Bulldogs and Serendipity

Who's Afraid Of YOU?

Who's Afraid Of YOU?

Just a couple of hours ago, I said “See you later – forever” to a female business acquaintance – popularly known as ‘The Bulldog’ – whose stock-in-trade is belittling insults and intimidation.

As I got to know her more, I watched her reduce other women to frustration and tears. Eventually, I got tired of listening to her destructive lies against others – born of her own paranoia and inner rage. I got tired of listening her blame others for her misery. I got exhausted with consoling and encouraging her victims to remain strong; I got worn out by hearing what she had to say about me behind my back.

I got tired of wondering why the universe appeared to be indifferent to the damage she was recklessly and knowingly inflicting on others. And besides, didn’t I write the book with how to overcome bullies in life??!!

So when I got home last night and opened some emails that had been begging for my attention for some days… and read what I found in one of them, with the accompanying picture, I just had to crack up laughing. How apropos!

Now, who says the universe doesn’t have a sense of humor?

This is the thought: Deal with bullies right away. They, unlike fine wine and fine cheese, definitely don’t get better with age!
